The curriculum involves 600 hours which exceeds Louisiana state requirements by 100 hours. The Instructor’s course is designed to prepare students for the state licensing examination and for profitable employment as an Instructor.

Graduates are prepared to be entry level Instructors.

This course is taught in English. Textbooks and course materials are only offered in the English Language.

Teacher Training Course Overview

Course Hours: 600 clock hours

This program includes the principles of teaching. The program will help teach the understanding of teachers and students. Teaching methods are taught through theory books, demonstrations, practical and clinical floor experience, and the evaluation. This program is designed to develop abilities in desirable work habits, attitudes, pride in work, acceptable personal grooming and dress, appropriate employer -employee relationships, personal and business ethics, customer relations, and effective communication skills.

Teacher Training Course Outline

Your time in the The Celebrity A Paul Mitchell Franchise School steacher training course will be divided into two (2) designations:

  1. Psychology and Methodology: These classes focus on the theory of teaching, using Pivot Point Mindful Teaching Pro textbook, including weekly tests.
  2. Student Teaching: You will learn to write lesson plans and do actual teaching from your lesson plans.There will be a practical teaching evaluation of your teaching skills.

The institution offers employment assistance to help graduates’ efforts to secure education-related employment that includes, but is not limited to training in professionalism, resume’ development, job interview preparation and job search skills.

Rationale for Longer Hours for Short Programs: Based on feedback received we found it necessary to increase the hours for our short programs. Doing so is a direct advantage to Future Professionals for their employment preparedness, academic success, and industry needs.

Teacher Training Program Testing and Grading Procedures

The following tests and grading procedures are used to assess student learning and mastery of course content in the 600-hour course:

  1. Students must receive a grade of 70% or higher on each assigned theory exam. Theory exams cover a review of Milady CIMA Program Student Instructor Course.
  2. Students must receive theory exam grades that result in an 70% cumulative at the time of graduation. The final exam covers a complete overview of Milady CIMA Program Student Instructor Course.

A = 90 – 100%          B = 80 – 89%          C = 70 – 79%          Failing = Below 69%
